Introduction

Wevier AI ("we", "us", "our") builds artificial intelligence, automation and data systems for enterprise clients. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and in the course of our work, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

We are registered in the United Arab Emirates, with our registered office at VUNE0615, Compass Building – Al Hulaila, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This policy is written to meet the requirements of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL"), and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

This policy applies to:

It does not cover personal data we process on behalf of our clients as part of a delivered system. In those engagements our client is the data controller and we act as a processor under their instructions and our contract with them. See Data we process for clients below.

Information you give us

• Contact details — name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and your location if you provide it
• Enquiry content — anything you write in a message, form field or email to us
• Recruitment information — CV, work history, qualifications and anything else you send when applying for a role
• Newsletter preferences — your email address and subscription status

Information collected automatically

• Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen resolution
• Usage data — pages visited, time on page, referring website, links clicked
• Cookie data — as described in the Cookies section below

Information from other sources

We may receive your business contact details from publicly available professional sources, referrals, or events where you have shared them with us.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Respond to your enquiries and provide the information you have asked for
• Deliver services under a contract with you or your organisation
• Send you our newsletter, where you have subscribed
• Assess job applications
• Understand how our website is used and improve it
• Maintain the security and integrity of our systems
• Meet our legal, regulatory and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your enquiry content or contact details to train artificial intelligence models.

Our legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases.

When we respond to enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering the people who contact us, or on the need to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract. Where we deliver services you have contracted us for, our legal basis is performance of that contract.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we send it on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For website analytics, we rely on your consent, except in the case of strictly necessary cookies, which we set on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a secure and functional website.

When you apply to work with us, we process your information to take steps prior to entering a contract, and in reliance on our legitimate interests in assessing candidates and managing recruitment. Finally, we retain legal and accounting records because we are required to do so — our legal basis here is compliance with a legal obligation.

Where UAE law applies, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, or a legal obligation, as permitted under the PDPL.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Data we process for clients

In the course of our engagements we design and operate systems that process data belonging to our clients. This may include operational data, transaction records, sensor data, workforce records and, in some cases, personal data relating to our clients' own customers or employees.

In these engagements:

• Our client determines the purpose and means of processing and remains the data controller
• We act as a processor and process data only on documented instructions from that client
• Our obligations are set out in the data processing terms of our client contract
• We apply access controls, encryption and audit logging appropriate to the sensitivity of the data
• We do not use client data to train models for other clients or for our own purposes unless expressly permitted in writing

If you believe your personal data is held within a system we operate for a client, contact that organisation directly. We will support them in responding to your request.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where necessary, and only with:

• Service providers who support our operations, including website hosting, email delivery, analytics, cloud infrastructure and CRM. These providers act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and auditors, where required.
• Regulators and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
• A successor organisation, in the event of a merger, acquisition or transfer of business assets.

International transfers

We are based in the UAE, and some of our service providers operate outside the UAE, including in Saudi Arabia, the wider Middle East, the European Economic Area and the United States. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we do so in line with the PDPL and, where the GDPR applies, on the basis of an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate supplementary safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as we need it, and the period depends on the type of data.

Enquiries submitted through our website are held for 24 months from your last contact with us. Where you become a client, we keep your contact records for the duration of our relationship and for seven years afterwards. Contract and accounting records are also kept for seven years, in line with UAE record-keeping requirements.

If you apply for a role with us and your application is unsuccessful, we keep it for 12 months so we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to remove it sooner. Newsletter subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe, and website analytics data is retained for 26 months.

Once a retention period ends, we delete the information or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.

How we protect information

We maintain technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Role-based access controls and the principle of least privilege
• Multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts
• Logging and monitoring of access to systems holding personal data
• Vendor security review before engaging new service providers
• Staff confidentiality obligations and security awareness training
• Documented incident response procedures

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the UAE Data Office and affected individuals as required by law.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exemptions in applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Delete your data where we no longer have grounds to keep it
• Restrict how we process your data in certain circumstances
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent where our processing relies on it
• Stop automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you

To exercise any of these rights, email info@wevier-ai.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UAE Data Office. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

Automated decision-making

Our website does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Systems we build for clients may include automated decision-making. Where that is the case, the client organisation is responsible for informing affected individuals and providing any required means of review or human intervention.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the website work, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used.

• Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "last updated" date above. Where changes are significant, we will notify you directly if we hold your contact details.
